The fitness indicators are telling us how optimal our physical health is. These are some of the most relevant,% body fat, % visceral fat, Body age, BMI (Body Mass Index), skeletal muscle, resting metabolism and body weight.

When we talk about feel and look better, the only aspect in which people normally think is the weight, that's where they are wrong, because the weight, in fact, is not a sufficient criterion that can describe looking and feeling good, however if we talk about body composition, we can better define how healthy is a person, both internally and externally.

The term body composition refers to several aspects of the body such as body fat, BMI, lean muscle, metabolic age, resting metabolism, weight, height, among others, which indicate how our body is.

Body Mass Index (BMI)

It is a number calculated using weight and height of a person. BMI is a reliable indicator of body fat in people. It does not measure body fat directly, but studies have shown that BMI correlates to direct measures of body fat.

Body Fat

Body fat plays an important role in energy storage and protection of internal organs. In our body there are two types of fats, essential fat, which is housed in small quantities to protect the body and Stored fat, which the body stores for energy during physical activity. Having too much body fat is unhealthy, so is having too little. Furthermore, the distribution of body fat is different in men and women, so that the basis for the classification of body fat percentage is different for both genders.

Visceral fat

It accumulates in the abdomen and surrounding vital organs. It is different from the fat directly under the skin, which is known as subcutaneous fat. Visceral fat can go unnoticed because it is not visible to the naked eye. One way to see the visceral fat is by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). It is considered that the presence of too much visceral fat is closely related to high levels of fat in the bloodstream, which can cause conditions such as high cholesterol, heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

Skeletal Muscle

Skeletal muscle is the kind of muscle that can see and feel. When you exercise to increase your muscle mass, you are exercising lean muscle. The increase in skeletal muscle will increase energy needs of your body. The more muscle you have more calories your body will burn. The increase in skeletal muscle can help prevent a further increase in weight. Maintaining and increasing lean muscle is closely related to basal metabolic rate.

Resting metabolism

Regardless of your level of daily activity, a minimum level of calories required to maintain normal body functions. Also known as basal metabolism, which indicates how many calories you need to eat in order to provide enough energy for your body to function, there are various factors that influence the basal metabolic rate as gender, body size, mass muscle and temperature.

Metabolic age

The metabolic age calculates the true age of our body internally and is based on the lifestyle we handle. Generally this information does not match the chronological age of people and is often larger than this, because they aren't held habits like exercise or healthy eating.

ageLOC™ TR90 is responsible for improving these indicators because it has been designed to improve your body composition, shape your body and control your weight, all based on the highest innovation in the science of gene expression.
