The Gastric Balloon is a method performed endoscopically consisting of the position of a silicone balloon in the stomach with a volume between 400 and 700 cc.
Is an outpatient procedure which is performed by introducing a deflated balloon through the esophageal route destined to the stomach, being in this, the balloon is inflated with saline solution, occupying 60% of gastric capacity, causing a feeling of early satiety, decreasing food intake.
